Candy Shorts in your language: subtitles for 171 series

The Candy Shorts languages come as a fixed set: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese. Our October 28 count found all six on 171 of the 173 open series, from the many five-episode stories up to YES MA'AM, the longest at 35 episodes. Read any one of those languages and nearly the whole open catalog is yours.

Japanese is the extra, and it follows a pattern. Our first count, on October 6, found it on 33 of 129 open series. Every one of the 44 series added since then lists Japanese as well, which is how the total reached 77. If Japanese is what you want, the newest series are the safest bet.

Two open series list no subtitles at all: Simona Rossi: Wrong But Right and Addicted to my stepdad. You can still watch them. You'll just be following spoken English with no subtitles to fall back on, which is fine if your English is good and hard work if it isn't.

These episodes are short, and they talk a lot. We went through the English subtitle files of the 171 first episodes that have them. The typical one lasts about 65 seconds and holds 25 captions, roughly 118 words. That's close to two words every second.

The talking fills the whole minute, too. In most first episodes the first caption appears within five seconds of the start, and the last one ends within five seconds of the cut. There's no slow opening to settle into and no quiet stretch at the end to catch up.

That matters because the dialogue carries the setup. Who she is to him, why it's off limits, who might walk in: a one-minute episode tells you a lot of that out loud. Miss two lines and you'll still get the mood, but not the plot. From episode 3, the next part needs Premium and tokens, so make sure you understood the last line before you pay for what comes after it.

First, the Spicy series. All 17 sit behind Premium from their first episode, and Candy won't play them for a free account, which is the kind we count with. So their subtitle tracks never reached us. We don't know what they carry, and we won't guess.

Translation quality, too. We read the English files; for the other languages, we can confirm that Candy lists each track, not how natural the German or the Italian sounds. Since the characters speak English, the spoken lines are the original and every other track is a translation of them.

Finally, the language setting. There's a language option in Candy's account settings, spotted on October 20, 2026, but we haven't confirmed what it changes, so we won't tell you it picks your subtitles. For the same reason, there's no walkthrough of the player's controls here. We checked that the tracks exist, not how every phone and browser shows them.
